Students’ Organization for Liberty and Entrepreneurship is a registered Civil Society Organization which confirms to the principle of a free, peaceful and entrepreneurial society where every student has the right to make life choices, act and behave in a manner that promote peaceful co-existence and prosperity.

Students’ Organization for Liberty and Entrepreneurship in partnership with Global 1to1 are currently involving 21 students from Alliance High School and 21 students from Abangite Science and Technology in its Peacepal program. This year we are connecting Alliance High School to La Cauve High School while Abangite Science and Technology to Amy High School both in New Mexico in the US.

This program connect secondary schools from South Sudan to other secondary schools elsewhere in the world in an international student to student communication exchange using a unique one to one correspondence model. Conducted over the course of the academic year, students exchange handwritten letters, videos and photographs.  Students develop a relationship that results in the kinds of new insights and deeper understanding of other cultures that can only come about through one to one personal connections. Investigating the concept of culture will stimulate curiosity about their PeacePals and their own lives through describing and exploring cultural differences.  Students will begin to develop cultural sensitivity and appreciation for human universalities and differences.

The purpose of this program is to improve the writing, reading, speaking and thinking skills of students who will participate in this program. We believe this will be a great opportunity to students in South Sudan to build friendship, interact and share ideas with their fellow students elsewhere in the world.
